Deputies are searching for a black male, described as approximately 6-foot-1 with a slim-to-medium build, who entered the Red River Bank in Geismar wearing a motorcycle helmet and a light jacket. The man brandished a handgun and demanded money from the bank employees, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He may have left the scene as a passenger in a light-colored, four-door sedan traveling south on La. 73. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward and Red River Bank is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
