St. Landry authorities arrest 12 in drug raid St. Landry authorities arrest 12 in drug raid Acadiana bureau Feb. 20, 2014 Comments OPELOUSAS — A pre-dawn raid Thursday by St. Landry Parish law enforcement agencies netted 12 arrests, illegal drugs and hundreds of dollars in ill-gotten profits, officials said. Sheriff’s deputies and police from Opelousas and other cities in St. Landry Parish were involved in the raid. “We get complaints from the community on a regular basis,” Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said. “This roundup is a product of many hours of undercover purchases by our narcotics agents and hundreds of hours of surveillance.” Sheriff’s spokeswoman Capt. Megan Vizena said deputies and detectives started rounding up suspects at 3 a.m. “The various warrants are for the sale of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills,” Vizena said. She said police seized drugs with a combined street value of $5,000, aong with several hundred dollars in cash. Arrested in the roundup were: Corey Blaire, 34, of Opelousas; Alonzo D. Milton, 24, Arnaudville; Michael J. Casse, 35, Melville; Chadwick D. Senegal, 20, Eunice; Rico C. Morgan, 22, Eunice; Phillip L. Landrio, 27, Opelousas; Chad Nelson Leblanc, 36, Arnaudville; Coley D. Rideaux, 31, Grand Coteau; Corey A. Carriere, 32, Opelousas; Miranda S. Simien, 21, Opelousas; and Fredrick D. Stevens, 29, Eunice. Twelve St. Landry Parish residents remain at large: Freddie L. Alfred III, 23, of Eunice; Martin P. Johnson, 34, Opelousas; Jeremiah E. Bell, 32, Eunice; Jaymes W. Guillory, 24, Eunice; Joshua Johnson, 28, Opelousas; Amanda M. Duplechain, 34, Eunice; Darrell K. Darbonne, 51, Eunice; Angela Christine Speyrer, 35, Arnaudville; Joseph T. Martin, 30, Arnaudville; Amber R. Rogers, 27, Opelousas; Tori N. Redditt, 32, Opelousas; and Chance Bushnell, 25, Basile. “We will continue to look for the others who were not arrested,” Vizena said. Vizena encouraged the suspects to turn themselves into the Sheriff’s Office, and asked that residents who know the whereabouts of the suspects call St. Landry Crime Stoppers at (337) 948-TIPS.
