BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: 11:30 a.m., Iberville Room, Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, 102 France St. Matt Pinnell, director of state parties at the Republican National Committee, will speak about the state of the campaign against Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu and the launching of “Project: Geaux Red.” Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions.

REFLECTIONS IN THE GARDEN: Noon to 1 p.m., Burden Center, 4560 Essen Lane. The topic for the Burden Horticulture Society lunch series is “Ikebana-History and Demonstrations.” Admission is $10 for the general public and free for society members.
