Sen. Mary Landrieu to chair energy hearing at UL-Lafayette

U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., will chair a hearing on domestic energy production Tuesday afternoon at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Picard Center.

The hearing, titled “Fueling America — Enabling and Empowering Small Businesses to Unleash Domestic Production,” will focus on creating jobs in domestic energy production.

Landrieu will be hearing from independent oil and gas producers who have been invited to speak about their views on various federal policies.

The hearing is open to the public and is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Picard Center’s Rockhold Learning Center at 200 E. Devalcourt St.
