Jurors voting for Kent were Hill, Karl “Bubba” Chaney, Keith Mills, Jason McCray and Kent. Beauchamp, Ed Brooks and Chris Hall voted against Kent. Beauchamp was elected vice president of the parish governing body. Following the election, outgoing president Aucoin urged members to look at the parish financial picture at the end of the 2014 fiscal year and decide at that time if the vote for a change was in the parish’s best interest. Kent told jurors it was important to remember their decisions were made for the benefit of the entire parish. The new jury president also told members he would make new committee appointments at the next regular meeting.
