Two people robbed at gunpoint on Adelma Street Monday

Lafayette police are looking for a gold four-door Saturn used by thieves who drove up to two victims Monday night on Adelma Street, pulled out a gun and stole their money and cellphones.

The robbery occurred in the 100 block of Adelma Street at 8:30 p.m., Cpl. Paul Mouton said in a news release.

Mouton said the car contained the driver and a front-seat passenger, who got out of the car with the gun and demanded the goods, Mouton said.

The victims described the robbers as black men. The driver wore a black jacket and the passenger wore blue jeans and a gray sweater.
