  • BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: 11:30 a.m., Iberville Room, Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, 102 France St. Sherri Lebas, secretary of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, will discuss highway plans for 2014. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions.
  • ALZHEIMER’S CAREGIVERS SUPPORT MEETING: 1 p.m., Jones Creek Regional Branch Library, 6222 Jones Creek Road. The support group allows friends and family to share experiences and learn useful information for coping with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
  • LET IT SNOW: 2:30 to 5:30, Baker Branch Library, 3501 Groom Road. The event features a Louisiana Art and Science Museum presentation of classic holiday songs enhanced with full-dome animation, laser imagery and special effects. Call (225) 778-5940.
