Authorities accuse man of molesting juvenile

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s detectives are looking for a man suspected of molesting a 12-year-old girl.

Donald Russell, 34, is wanted on two counts of molestation of a juvenile, a felony, said Casey Rayborn Hicks, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

Russell, whose last known address was on King Bradford Drive in Baton Rouge, is accused of molesting the girl numerous times in the past year and as recently as Wednesday, Hicks said.

Authorities ask anyone with information about Russell’s whereabouts to call the Sheriff’s office at (225) 389-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.

BR man, 28, arrested in sex trafficking probe

A Baton Rouge man has been arrested on allegations of human trafficking in an investigation involving state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Travis Sanitel Moore, 28, 6046 St. Katherine Ave., was booked last week amid an undercover operation that targeted Internet prostitution at a local hotel.

Moore was being held Thursday in lieu of $150,000 bail.

According to authorities, detectives encountered women involved in commercial sex trafficking who had been subjected to force, coercion and pimp control. Casey Rayborn Hicks, an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said the investigation is continuing.

Details of Moore’s Dec. 5 arrest were not previously available because records in the case were under seal.

Police say man tried to rape sleeping teen

A 25-year-old man is accused of attempting to rape a 13-year-old girl while she was asleep earlier this year.

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies booked Talaekyo Lonto Galmon, 19230 Pride Baywood Road, Greenwell Springs, into Parish Prison on counts of attempted simple rape and indecent behavior with juveniles, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

The girl told investigators she woke up one night in May at a relative’s house to find that Galmon had taken off her pants and was trying to have sex with her, the affidavit says.

He only stopped when she threatened to scream.

In another instance, Galmon is accused of touching the girl inappropriately and offering her candy to have sex with him, which she refused, the affidavit says.

Authorities book four on suspicion of DWI

Authorities arrested at least four people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

  • Sara Alvarez, 19, 12515 Parknoll Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, seat belt violation and careless operation.
  • Oliver Guerin, 47, 3736 Washington Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, hit-and-run, drinking in a motor vehicle and reckless operation.
  • Leigh Hebert, 39, 930 Keed Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, careless operation, negligent vehicular injuring and insurance required.
  • Hanni Hollier, 31, 11666 Archery Drive, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, hit-and-run, reckless operation, drinking in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain control of a vehicle.
