  • “CITY MOUSE/COUNTRY MOUSE” SCHOOL PERFORMANCE: 10:30 a.m., Manship Theatre, Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St. The production is about mice cousins, inspired by the story in Aesop’s Fables. Tickets for the school performance are $10 for teachers/students and $15 for chaperones. One complimentary teacher ticket will be offered for every 20 student tickets purchased. (225) 389-7222.
  • BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: 11:30 a.m., Iberville Room, Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, 102 France St. Stephen Waguespack, president of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, will discuss global competition in the economy. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions.
  • A NATURAL CHRISTMAS: Noon to 1 p.m., Burden Center Botanic Gardens, 4560 Essen Lane. The event is part of the Reflections in the Garden series.
