LAFAYETTE — Missy Paschke-Wood has been named the new executive director of Festival International de Louisiane, the organization’s board announced Tuesday.
She will start work Oct. 21.
Paschke-Wood is a native of Texas with background in music and theater and in arts administration, according to a news release announcing her position as director.
Her experience includes work as marketing and development director at Yavapai Humane Society in Prescott, Ariz., and marketing manager for Arizona Theatre Co.
Paschke-Wood relocated to Lafayette earlier this year when her husband accepted a job as a librarian and professor at the Edith Garland Dupré Library at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
She replaces former festival director Dana Baker, who stepped down.
