Houma man accused of sex crime involving girl, 8

Morgan City detectives arrested a Houma man Friday who is accused of having sexual contact recently with an 8-year-old girl, officials said.

Randy Paul LeBlanc, 31, whose residence is listed as Chateau Road in Houma, was booked into jail Friday on one count of a sex crime involving a child, said James Blair, public information officer for the Morgan City Police Department.

Morgan City detectives were contacted several weeks ago by Houma police officers, who had received information about LeBlanc and the girl.

“One incident was alleged to have occurred while (LeBlanc and the girl) were in Morgan City,” Blair said.

After questioning LeBlanc, he was booked into the Morgan City Jail, where no bail amount has been set. The investigation continues.

Blair said anyone with information about LeBlanc is asked to call Morgan City detectives at (985) 380-4605.
