Development will include retail, offices
The first apartment building in The High Grove, a $30 million mixed-use development east of the Mall of Louisiana, is now open for occupancy.
As of last week, the 66-unit building was one-third occupied, said Lauren Crowell, a spokeswoman for Domain Companies, which is developing The High Grove along with Richard Carmouche.
Now that the building is completed and there are units to show, Domain expects the remaining apartments will be “leased up in a snap,” Crowell said.
Units in The High Grove rent from $1,055 a month for a one-bedroom, one-bath unit that is 681 square feet, to $1,725 a month for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit that is 1,119 square feet.
The second building in The High Grove should be open in about 30 to 45 days, Crowell said.
The High Grove, which is first phase of The Grove development, will include 192 apartment units and 25,000 square feet of retail and office space. Plans are for The Grove to eventually be 120 acres, with everything from a hotel to assisted living facilities.
