The power utility said Thursday that it has line crews and contractors in place to restore service should it fail during the storm. Entergy customers are encouraged to access outage maps and other storm and safety information by downloading Entergy’s free mobile application. They can also register to receive text messages about power outages at their homes and businesses at entergytext.com. Customers should call 800-9OUTAGE (800-968-8243) to report downed or dangling power lines, poles or other damaged equipment. Entergy New Orleans, Inc. provides electricity to more than 169,000 customers and natural gas to more than 100,000 customers.
