Deputies are searching for Kenneth “Baron” Baker, 54, who is accused of shooting another man in the 18500 block of Sisters Road in Ponchatoula, said Chief Deputy Dennis Pevey of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. A 911 dispatcher notified deputies Sunday night that a man had arrived at the Circle K in Ponchatoula having apparently suffered a single gunshot wound to the face, Pevey said. The man, whose name and age were not released, was taken to a hospital and airlifted to another hospital in New Orleans where he was in stable condition Sunday night, Pevey said. Baker is wanted for attempted second-degree murder, and deputies ask anyone with information of his whereabouts to call the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office or Crimestoppers.
