Cinnabon Inc., of Atlanta said Tuesday it is looking for franchisees to develop a spot in the Mall of Louisiana and three other in-state malls.
The chain said it plans to beef up its presence in Louisiana. Cinnabon has bakeries inside Schlotzsky’s Restaurants in Alexandria and Lafayette. The chain had other Louisiana locations but left Louisiana about five years ago.
Other potential mall sites include Acadiana Mall in Lafayette; Pecanland Mall in Monroe, and Prien Lake Mall in Lake Charles.
“It’s unbelievable that Cinnabon has such heightened brand awareness in Louisiana yet we do not even have traditional mall-based bakeries in the state,” Cinnabon President Kat Cole said. “The franchising opportunity in Louisiana represents one of Cinnabon’s largest untapped markets.”
