Breaux Bridge man booked in vehicular homicide case Breaux Bridge man booked in vehicular homicide case Johnny Roberts, Breaux Bridge Acadiana bureau Aug. 28, 2013 Comments ST. MARTINVILLE — A Breaux Bridge man was booked Thursday on counts of vehicular homicide and DWI in a May 19 traffic fatality on Hilda Street in Breaux Bridge, according to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. Johnny Roberts, 47, also faces counts of driving under suspension and entering traffic from a parked position in the accident, which killed 28-year-old motorcyclist Jerry Levier, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The counts come after investigators this week received the results of a blood test on Roberts that showed he had a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent and that he had multiple prescription drugs and marijuana in his system, according to the Sheriff’s Office. In Louisiana, a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent is considered presumptive evidence of drunken driving for those 21 and older. Roberts was being held in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. Bail had not been set as of Thursday afternoon.
