BR man accused of attacking mother
A 37-year-old man was arrested Monday morning after he allegedly shoved his mother into a glass window, causing a cut on her hand, then stabbed his brother twice in the leg with a pocket knife.
East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies booked Eric W. Williamson, 15176 Tiger Bend Road, Baton Rouge, into Parish Prison on counts of domestic abuse battery and aggravated second-degree battery.
After Williamson pushed his mother into the window, his brother went into the room and the two began arguing, an affidavit of probable cause says.
Williamson pulled out a pocket knife, stabbed his brother in the left leg twice, then fled in his girlfriend’s pickup outside, the affidavit says.
The affidavit does not say when the incident occurred but it does say that Williamson argued with his mother about her wanting him to leave the residence.
Two men booked on DWI in EBR
Authorities arrested at least two people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday, booking records show.
Those booked and the counts against them:
Ivan Dixon, 40, 4301 Morris St., Albuquerque, N.M., first-offense DWI and reckless operation.
Matthew Young, 39, 3314 Holly St., Zachary, second-offense DWI, speeding, possession of alcohol in vehicle, stop sign/yield sign violation and driver’s license suspended/revoked.
Police: Woman stabs man holding baby
Baton Rouge police arrested a 25-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed a man in his arms and shoulder several times Sunday while he was holding their baby.
Police booked Stephanie Jackson, 854 N. Donmoor Ave., Baton Rouge, into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on two counts of attempted second-degree murder with a knife.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, the victim was eating pizza with a kitchen knife when Jackson grabbed the knife and stabbed him several times as he was holding the infant.
The victim turned his body to try to shield the baby while pushing Jackson away as she was stabbing him, the affidavit says.
The officers noted the baby was covered in blood, but appeared to be unharmed, the affidavit says.
Jackson and the victim argued prior to the stabbing, the affidavit says.
The affidavit does not identify the relationship between the victim and Jackson.
BR man arrested in domestic battery
East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies on Monday arrested a 24-year-old man accused of choking his wife after she yelled at him for whipping her dog with a belt.
Daniel Joseph Brousseau, 5467 Essen Lane, Apt. 3, Baton Rouge, into Parish Prison on Monday on counts of domestic abuse battery strangulation and simple kidnapping.
After the victim stopped Brousseau from choking her on June 18 while they were in bed and knocked him off her, she ran outside and found a man who let her use his cellphone to call 911, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Brousseau walked outside, ripped the phone out of the victim’s hands, grabbed her in a bear-hug and walked back into the apartment, the affidavit says.
Eventually a neighbor heard the commotion and walked outside, causing Brousseau to run away, the affidavit says.
