Woman sought after stabbing in Quarter
New Orleans police are searching for a woman wanted on a count of attempted second-degree murder after she allegedly stabbed a woman several times early Sunday morning in the French Quarter.
According to police, Cheralynn Peterson, 25, was in an argument with the victim near the intersection of North Peters and Bienville streets when she pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim “numerous” times.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for stab wounds to her neck, back, shoulder and arm, police said. Her injuries were not serious.
Peterson is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a thin build, dark complexion and a braided hairstyle. She might try to flee to Houston, police said.

Police seek man in reported hate crime
Investigators are looking for a man who allegedly attacked a man and yelled homophobic remarks at him earlier this month.
According to police, Theron Boyd, 18, and an accomplice attacked two men about 11:30 p.m. July 7 in the 1400 block of Bourbon Street.
After a brief fight with the accomplice, one victim noticed Boyd kicking his partner and yelling “disparaging homosexual remarks,” police said. Boyd ran away after the man went to help his partner.
One victim had minor cuts and abrasions on his arms and legs. The second victim’s nose and face were fractured.
On July 14, D’John Joseph, 17, turned himself in at the 8th District Station for the beating. He was booked with simple battery, principal to a second-degree battery, principal to a simple robbery and principal to a hate crime.

N.O. East bank robbed Monday
A man robbed a New Orleans East bank shortly after noon Monday, police said.
The man walked into the CapitalOne in the 5600 block of Bullard Avenue about 12:09 p.m., implied he had a weapon and handed the teller a note that demanded cash, police said.
The man left the bank on foot and possible headed southwest on Lake Forest Boulevard, police said.
He is about 6 feet tall, weighs about 150 and has stubble or acne scarring on his face, police said.
He has gold teeth and wore small glasses, possibly for reading, police said.
He also wore dark jeans, a long sleeve shirt with a dark stripe design on the sleeves and a light-colored baseball cap with a logo on the front.

N.O. East man, 92, reported missing
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 92-year-old man reported missing from his New Orleans East nursing home.
Ulysse Marroy was last seen about 7:55 a.m. Monday getting onto an RTA bus bound for the Central Business District in the 14500 block of Hayne Boulevard, police said.
The bus driver told employees of Ferncrest Manor nursing home that Marroy got off of the bus at Elysian Fields Avenue and Leon C. Simon Boulevard.
That was the last time he was seen, police said. Marroy has Alzheimer’s and needs medication, police said.
Marroy is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs about 171 pounds and has a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a blue collared shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
