2 men booked on solicitation counts

Baton Rouge police officers conducting a sting operation Thursday arrested two men, each accused of agreeing to pay a woman $100 for an hour of sex.

Stephen Andrew Schamber, 35, 2750 Millerville Road Apt. 3304, Baton Rouge, and Joseph Albert, 49, 10455 Lion Ave., Maringouin, were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts under Louisiana’s prostitution statute, according to affidavits of probable cause.

An undercover police detective posing as a prostitute placed an advertisement in an online site and arranged separate meetings with the two men at a hotel just off of Corporate Boulevard.

Once the men showed up to the hotel room and agreed to pay the undercover woman for sex, they were arrested.
