Covington man found shot on Tammany Trace Covington man found shot on Tammany Trace Mandeville police seeking missing auto St. Tammany bureau June 25, 2013 Comments Mandeville police are investigating a Sunday evening shooting on the Tammany Trace that left a Covington man in serious condition, Mandeville police said Monday. Leonard J. Breaux Jr., of Covington, was found by a Trace ranger about 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of the popular bike path and Colbert Street, Lt. Gerald Sticker said. Breaux was unconscious and appeared to have been shot in the head. He was taken to Lakeview Hospital and later moved to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, where he is in serious condition. Police are looking for Breaux’s car, a white 1999 Buick Century which likely bears a temporary tag reading 15591683. Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call 911.
