Acadia Parish authorities have arrested a Crowley man they believe killed a Honduran man whose decomposing body was found Thursday on a road leading to an oil well.

Henry Robert Dubon, 36, was arrested Tuesday on one count of first-degree murder and armed robbery of Tomas Mendoza, said Maxine Trahan, a spokewoman for the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, in a news release.

Mendoza, 31, had been stabbed multiple times in his upper body less than a week before a juvenile riding a four-wheeler found Mendoza’s body on Hawks Road on Thursday evening, officials said.

Mendoza’s body was found near Robert’s Cove on a road that leads to an oil well site.
