Two dead, one wounded in Marrero shooting Two dead, one wounded in Marrero shooting Advocate staff report March 14, 2013 Comments Two men were killed and another is in critical condition after a shooting Saturday night in Marrero, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said Sunday. The Sheriff’s Office received a call Saturday at 7:50 p.m. about shots fired in the 2100 block of Caddy Drive in Marrero, public information officer Glen Boyd said in a news release. Deputies found two men sitting inside a black Nissan Sentra parked in front of 2128 Caddy Drive, Boyd said. The man behind the wheel of the car, Dwight Hansberry, 24, 228 Sauvage, Marrero, was found dead, Boyd said. The man in the passenger seat was wounded and is in critical condition, Boyd said. Another man, Terrance Brown, 23, 2128 Caddy Drive, Marrero, was found dead in the front yard of his home, Boyd said. A neighbor, who is a nurse, administered CPR on Brown, to no avail, Boyd said. Deputies have no motives or suspects in the shooting, he said. Bullets blew out the back and right-side rear windows of the car, Boyd said. Multiple .45-caliber bullet casings were found on the street. Investigators are not sure if the shooter or shooters fired from another car or walked up to the Nissan and started firing, Boyd said.
