LAFAYETTE — Lafayette police arrested a Sunset man suspected of killing a man in a Moss Street bar fight Sunday night, according to a news release.
Jay Lane, 37, is in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on one count of second-degree murder in the death of Lucas Fargo Jr., 38, of Lafayette, city police said in the release.
Police said they responded at around 9:30 p.m. and found Fargo unconscious on the floor of the bar.
Fargo was later pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
Police said the bar, which was not identified, is located in the 3900 block of Moss Street.
The case remains under investigation, police said.
