A Baton Rouge man is under indictment in the shooting death of one man and wounding of another during a March 2012 drug deal on Gerald Street.
An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury Thursday charged Nicholas Revish, 22, with one count each of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in the slaying of Latrell Davis, 23, and wounding of another man.
A second-degree murder conviction would carry an automatic sentence of life in prison.
Revish, 3104 Toronto Drive, allegedly shot the two men about 10 p.m. on March 26 while they were dealing drugs in a car in the 10200 block of Gerald Street, police have said.
Davis was shot in the head and died March 29, police said. The other man was shot multiple times but survived.
The case has been assigned to state District Judge Bonnie Jackson.
