The 34 musician sailors also will perform as a brass quintet, woodwind quintet, jazz ensemble and a New Orleans-style brass band, high school band director Kelvin Jones said. Selected students from the high school band will sit in with the Navy concert band for part of the program. Pony up for Scouts Boy Scout Wrangler Crew 997 will hold its annual garage sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Clinton United Methodist Church to benefit the horsemanship program at Avondale Scout Reservation. The sale will feature household items, art, books and perhaps some excess horse tack items. Community market Saturday also is the date of the monthly Clinton Community Market in the downtown area. Vendors will offer for sale jewelry, fresh produce, antiques, candles and soaps, art, Easter baskets, live Easter bunnies, plants and shrubs, and more. Members of the Cajun Classic Automobile Club of Baton Rouge also will have a display. Garden tour Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site Manager Patricia Aleshire will lead her monthly “Garden Tour Fridays” stroll through Rosedown’s gardens at 10 a.m. Friday. The programs provide garden enthusiasts with a detailed look at selected portions of an early 19th-century garden. The tour starts at the site office. Rosedown egg hunt Area children and their parents are invited to celebrate spring with a 19th-century Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rosedown from the back porch of the main house. Prizes will be awarded to the children finding the special “Rosedown” Easter eggs. After the hunt, 19th-century games will be featured. Children are encouraged to bring Easter baskets. Legislative talk State Sen. Sharon Weston Broome, D-Baton Rouge, will hold a public meeting with constituents from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Zachary branch library to discuss the upcoming legislative session. Free vascular screening Lane Regional Medical Center and Vascular Specialty Center offers free vascular screening for people 55 and older from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the office of Dr. Gregory Crenshaw, 4801 McHugh Road, Suite C, Zachary.
