Tangipahoa deputies report 2 dead in Kentwood shooting

KENTWOOD — Two people were killed in a shooting on Pittman Road, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday afternoon.

A Sheriff’s Office news release identified the victims only as a 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both from Kentwood.

The deaths appear to have been a murder-suicide, but a final ruling will not be made until autopsies have been completed, spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said.

The deaths occurred in the early morning hours Tuesday, she said.
