NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans native Donna Brazile will be the featured speaker for the Institute of Politics at Loyola University next month.
Brazile is a longtime Democratic political strategist and a commentator for CNN and ABC.
Her March 5 speech, titled “Stirring the Political Pot,” will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the top political issues of the day, according to Loyola.
Brazile has worked on every presidential campaign from 1976 through 2000.
She became the first black woman to manage a presidential race when she led Al Gore’s run in 2000. She is the former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee as well as former chair of its Voting Rights Institute.
