Cox phone customers experience outage Cox phone customers experience outage Advocate staff report Feb. 20, 2013 Comments Cox Digital Telephone customers in the Baton Rouge area experienced intermittent telephone outages for much of the day Monday. The service disruption started at about 6 a.m., when customers who tried to make or receive calls heard fast busy signals or got a message saying there were “no circuits available.” The problems were fixed by midafternoon, said David Deliman, a spokesman for Cox. Cox would not release the number of customers affected by the outage, and Deliman said there was no word on what caused the outage. Only Cox customers in metro Baton Rouge were affected. There were no disruptions in the other Louisiana markets of Lafayette and New Orleans. Deliman said Cox apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience.
