Father and son accused of running drug business from home

Ascension Parish authorities arrested a father and son believed to be distributing marijuana from their Galvez home.

Kevin Ficklin, 45, and Koby Ficklin, 20, both of 44141 La. 42, Galvez, were arrested Thursday following a search of their home, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said in a news release.

Sheriff’s detectives executed a search warrant on
the Ficklins’ home, where they seized marijuana
packaged for resale and
drug paraphernalia, Bacala said.

Both Ficklins were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

NO Ivy they are not all like that, but as I stated before we all know where the majority of the crime comes from and who is causing most of the problems. This is trash that needs to be in jail with those so often defend.

what's to say he held his son? just because he fits a stereotype of what a good father should look like? let's follow the sale-trail and see where some of those drugs ended up - 70805 maybe? where's all the posters who can't wait to label criminals as "animals", "thugs", or make stereotypical assumptions that "they're all like that"?

this is so foreign to me, and most everyone else i would think. how can someone take their own child, a baby, an infant they had held in their arms and turn them into a criminal on purpose?
