State Police search for driver in fatal hit and run

Louisiana State Police are looking for the driver who hit a man walking on Burbank Drive early Monday morning and drove off.

Tyrone Davis, 19, of Baker, was in the road on Burbank Drive at Staring Lane when a vehicle traveling west on Burbank hit and killed him, according to a press release from State Police. The driver didn’t stop and continued driving west on Burbank Drive.

It’s believed that the vehicle may be an early to mid-1980s model Ford F-150 pickup truck and may have been repainted an aqua blue or teal color. The truck might have damage to the passenger side head light and grille area, according to State Police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Louisiana State Police Troop A at 225-754-8500.

Sorry.....watching THE roadway.

There's even more to be said for watching to roadway, having your vehicle under control, and having the basic human decency to stop and report the accident if you hit someone. Only someone capable of doing a hit and run would even say what you said. Jerk.

What sort of lowlife hits another human being with a vehicle and then drives away? Reading things like this is utterly disheartening.
