Reginald Tewell Irvin, 20 and Taijh Kairy Irvin, 22, both of 1900 Blount Road, No. 250, were each booked by police Tuesday on a count of armed robbery, according to an affidavit of probable cause and East Baton Rouge Parish Prison records. Reginald Irvin approached the victim at an automatic teller machine outside a business and produced a handgun, demanding the money he had withdrawn, the affidavit said. The victim tried to take the gun away from Reginald Irvin and a fight ensued, the affidavit said. Taijh Irvin and two others got out of a vehicle to assist Reginald Irvin, the affidavit said. The Irvin brothers and the co-defendants left the scene in the vehicle but the incident was captured on the store’s video camera, the affidavit said. Victim identified in Wednesday slaying Police identified the victim on Wednesday of a Jan. 20 homicide on Hooper Road as Paul Wright, 33, 7981 Greendale Drive. Wright was shot to death around 4 a.m. in the 4600 block of Hooper Road and died at the scene, police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said in a news release. A group of people had an argument in the road just before the shooting occurred, McKneely said. The fatal shooting remains under investigation. Third suspected arrested in robbery Sheriff’s deputies arrested a third suspect Wednesday in the armed robbery of a man on Pecan Tree Avenue in October. Deputies booked George Stevenson, 17, whose last known addresses were listed as 8736 Elvin Drive, Apt. C, Baton Rouge or 10812 Weiner Creek Drive, Baton Rouge, into Parish Prison on one count each of armed robbery and aggravated assault, an arrest warrant said. The victim was walking in the 9000 block of Pecan Tree Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 when Stevenson, Tyren Lockett and Trevor Georgetown approached him and asked him for a cigarette lighter, the warrant said. The three are accused of pointing handguns at the victim and demanding his wallet and car keys. Stevenson and the two men took the wallet, a knife and the victim’s vehicle, a silver 2002 Honda Accord, and fled the scene. Deputies arrested Georgetown on Oct. 21 and Locket on Oct. 30., the warrant said. Deputies say man exposed self at ELK Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Baton Rouge man Wednesday who is accused of exposing himself and masturbating outside an office on the fifth floor of Earl K. Long Hospital, an affidavit of probable cause said. Deputies booked Thaddeus L. Combs, 54, 3035 North Blvd., Baton Rouge, into Parish Prison on one count of obscenity, the affidavit said. Care-giver stole $35,000, police say Police arrested a 31-year-old woman Thursday accused of defrauding a 70-year-old man out of more than $35,000, according to an arrest warrant. The victim’s daughter told police that Lesley Reed was acting as a caregiver for her father, the warrant said. The daughter became suspicious of activity on her father’s account when she noticed several large checks were being paid to Reed and Reed’s family members, the warrant said. The daughter and her father later examined checks dated between May 2010 and May 2011 with a bank employee and discovered several checks were illegally negotiated by Reed without the father’s knowledge or permission, the warrant said. The man lost $35,358 because of the fraud, the warrant said. Reed, 2532 69th Ave., Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on 47 counts of forgery, 31 counts of principal to forgery and one count each of exploitation of the infirm, felony theft and principal to felony theft, the warrant said. Authorities book 6 on suspicion of DWI Authorities arrested at least six people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, booking records show. Those booked and the counts against them: Katherine Bradford, 25, 10743 Sandringham Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, following too close and improper lane usage.
