Two men indicted in Tigerland slaying Two men indicted in Tigerland slaying Advocate staff report| Jan. 18, 2013 Comments Two men were indicted Thursday in the shooting death of a man in Tigerland last summer. An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged George Alonzo Triplett, 22, of Baton Rouge, and Dedrick Marquel Brown, 24, of Baker, with second-degree murder in the slaying of Philip Boudreaux, 18. Boudreaux was shot in the face July 31 at his apartment in the 4700 block of Tigerland Avenue by two men posing as pizza delivery men, police have said. He died Aug. 3 after being taken off life support, police said. Boudreaux was shot over “drugs and robbery,” police said. Triplett, 413 Elmer St., and Brown, 4305 Chapeau Drive, Baker, face automatic sentences of life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder. The case has been assigned to state District Judge Chip Moore.
