Regulatory authorities have approved the exploratory testing, which is expected to continue for a week to 10 days, the news release says. The Police Department has received numerous calls from people in the area reporting loud noises, ground vibrations and cables crossing roadways, the release says. The Police Department offered no further details. Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard confirmed his office also had received complaints from the public about the noises and vibrations.
