Initial unemployment insurance claims in Louisiana decreased last week to 3,495 from the previous week’s 3,532, the Louisiana Workforce Commission reported Friday.
Claims were higher than the 3,270 posted for the same week a year ago.
The four-week average of initial claims increased to 3,648 from the previous week’s 3,450.
Continued unemployment insurance weeks claimed increased to 31,510 from the previous week’s 31,454.. Claims were lower than a year ago’s 43,080.
The four-week average of continued weeks increased to 31,244 from the previous week’s 30,644.
