Christmas parade to roll downtown

The 2012 Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade will roll through downtown Baton Rouge at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The parade features 80 decorated floats, walking groups, bands and Santa Claus to celebrate the start of the holiday season.

The annual Baton Rouge Christmas Parade has rolled through downtown every year since 1950.

If you are looking for a great Christmas Parade for this Sunday, 12/9/12, then come to the Jones Creek Area Bus. Assn.'s. It is one of the largest privately organized in the Greater BR area. Starts at 2 pm. Runs down Jones Creek Rd.!!
