Baker seeks fugitive in burglary case

Police are looking for a suspected gang member accused of burglarizing a South Street residence Monday.

Police Chief Mike Knaps said Wednesday that officers are seeking Eric D. George, 21, also known as “Head,” who lives at 516 Cypress Drive, Baker.

George is a member of the Zoo Boys, a street gang with ties to drug dealing and other criminal activity, Knaps said, adding that George has numerous prior arrests for drug possession and illegal carrying of weapons.

Anyone with information regarding George is asked to contact Baker police at (225) 775-6000 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867), Knaps said.

just as a follow up warning to the police who are looking for him. he is a known gang member with a felony record and is most likely armed. TAKE NO CHANCES WITH YOUR OR THE PUBLIC'S LIVES. IF HE DOESN'T IMMEDIATELY OBEY YOUR ORDERS TO SURRENDER, SHOOT FIRST AND ASK WHY HE DIDN'T LATER. YOU WANT TO GO HOME TONIGHT DON'T YOU?
