Loranger man, 27, killed in traffic accident Loranger man, 27, killed in traffic accident Florida Parishes bureau Nov. 09, 2012 Comments TICKFAW — A 27-year-old Loranger man died Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash on La. 442 about 2 miles east of Interstate 55, according to State Police. The driver, Brandon Lala, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, which occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m., Trooper Nicholas Manale said in a news release. Lala was traveling west on La. 442 when his pickup truck drifted left across both the center line and eastbound traffic lane before running off the road to the south side of the highway, the release said. Lala’s truck crossed the roadside ditch and struck a utility pole, causing the truck to spin and overturn, partially ejecting Lala, Manale said. The Tangipahoa Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Lala dead at the scene. Investigating troopers do not suspect driver impairment to be a factor, pending the results of a toxicology exam, Manale said.
