Ethel man booked on child porn count
CLINTON — Officers with the state Attorney General’s Office arrested an Ethel man Thursday who is accused of having child pornography on his computer.
Theodore A. Welles III, 34, 7816 Pine St., Ethel, was booked at the East Feliciana Parish Jail with pornography involving juveniles, said Amanda Larkins, spokeswoman for state Attorney General James “Buddy” Caldwell.
The arrest came after a joint undercover investigation by the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations and the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office, Larkins said.
An affidavit by the investigating officers said numerous files containing alleged child pornography were found on Welles’ computer, with some files depicting intercourse by children between the ages of 6 and 10.
