2 children found dead in bathtub

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans police are investigating the deaths of a 3-year-old and 4-year-old at a Gert Town apartment complex on Wednesday night.

Police were called to the 3300 block of Audubon Court at 6 p.m. to investigate reports of two dead children. They found the unidentified 3-year-old and 4-year-old in a bathtub, said John Gagliano, chief investigator of the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office.

Gagliano said an autopsy on Thursday will determine the cause of death for the children. Their deaths have currently been ruled “unclassified.”
