Authorities investigate break-ins at two schools
East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies are investigating break-ins at Broadmoor Middle School and Broadmoor High School early Monday that are believed to be caused by the same group, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Deputies arrived at Broadmoor Middle School at 1:30 a.m. Monday and found multiple windows broken and a vending machine damaged, spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said.
At 4:30 a.m., deputies arrived at Broadmoor High School and also found multiple broken windows, she said.
The vandals took 11 laptop computers, four calculators, a backpack, two speakers and various other items from Broadmoor High School, Hicks said.
The alarms were not working properly at either school, she said.
Deputies obtained video of three people in addition to fingerprints, Hicks said.
The first person is described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes, Hicks said.
The second person is described as a black male wearing a dark-colored zip-up jacket with a hood, a black T-shirt, blue and white pajama pants and dark colored-shoes, Hicks said.
The third person is described as a white male wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt with blue stripes on the sleeves, a black T-shirt, plaid pajama pants and dark-colored shoes, Hicks said.
