Damaged Siegen stores under repair

Two stores at Siegen Marketplace damaged by Hurricane Isaac remain closed and under repair.

Dress Barn has a recorded message saying it will reopen on or around Nov. 11.

A spokeswoman for Bed Bath & Beyond said no date has been set yet for reopening that store.

Dress Barn is asking customers to go to its other location at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Gonzales, while Bed Bath & Beyond is directing customers to its store at Cortana Mall on Florida Boulevard at Airline Highway.

Siegen Marketplace owner Mall Properties Inc. did not return a call for comment.

The former Books-A-Million at Siegen Marketplace is empty and being remodeled as well, though that store recently closed to make way for Baskins Western and Work Wear.

Baskins, which is also opening a store in Lafayette, is expected to open in the 12,875-square-foot location in the coming weeks.
