Government Street reopens

Google Map -- Westbound traffic in the 2100 block of Government Street has been shut down because of a head-on collision, a Baton Rouge police spokesman said.

Traffic in the 2100 block of Government Street is clear after a head-on collision shut down the westbound lane for a few hours, a Baton Rouge police spokesman said.

The collision happened around 5 p.m., Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said. There were minor injuries, but nobody was taken to a hospital as a result of the crash, he said.

Traffic re-opened at 8 p.m., Stubbs said.
