Bridge work to close road north of Clinton

CLINTON — Wadd Kent Road will be closed for several months beginning Monday while a contractor replaces a parish bridge over Pretty Creek, East Feliciana Parish Police Jury officials said.
The bridge work is being done about a mile west of La. 67, north of Clinton.
The road is expected to be closed until Sept. 28, Parish Manager Judith Kelly said.
Residents who live on the road west of the creek can reach La. 67 or La. 19 via Pineville, Ellis and Beechgrove-Carruth roads.
The work is being done through an off-system bridge replacement project administered by the state Department of Transportation and Development.
