Man dies after stabbing

Police are investigating a stabbing that killed a man early Sunday outside a local club.

The motive for the stabbing that killed Juan Lopez, 26, 5876 Quida Mae St., is still unknown, Capt. Elton Brown Sr. said in a news release.

Officers were called to the Latin Club, 8142 Greenwell Springs Road, about 1:50 a.m., Brown said.

Lopez was found with multiple stab wounds in the upper part of his body, lying on the ground outside the club, the release says.

Witnesses told police that the victim had been attacked by another man during a fight outside the club.

Emergency Medical Services took the victim to a local hospital, where he died, Brown said.

Witnesses also provided police with “suspect information,” he said. Anyone with information can contact the Police Department at [phone], or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP.

This has been going on for years now in Baton Rouge and now the Parish officials say it will take more years to make a difference. Stop the I want to be your friend and we can make you a good productive citizen and nothing we can do if you will not help and we respect you and understand it is the social economic environment you are living in and not your fault. The law should be enforcement and the preacher your friend.

Homicides in 2012 at record pace-----Man killed in stabbing outside club------2 dead in separate shootings----....and the beat goes on. CATS needs to hurry and get those news buses and routes in place so these killings and crime can be stopped!
