Six-person team robs Port Allen fruit stand

A team of six people robbed Po-Folks’ Fruit and Vegetable Stand in Port Allen on Thursday afternoon, a West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's spokesman said.

Port Allen — A team of six people robbed a fruit stand Thursday afternoon, a West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman said Friday.

Four women and two men entered Po-Folks’ Fruit and Vegetable Stand at 1280 Lobdell Highway at about 3:30 p.m., Col. Richie Johnson said.

Some of the team distracted the store’s employees while others picked the lock to the office, where they stole a “large amount” of cash, Johnson said.

The robbery took less than 15 minutes, Johnson said.

Authorities are looking for the team caught on surveillance tape, he said.

All they were doing was getting fruits for their diets! Six months later....."I lost 73 lbs, thanks to our "free" fruits! You can too!! With our cash windfall, we can now buy more of our fruits! My goal is to lose 243 lbs by July 4th!

had to be an inside job, how else would they know there was cash in the office. a 6 person gang, caught on tape, 6 folks and not one complete brain between them.
