2 Tangipahoa men wanted in shooting

Authorities were searching on Friday for two men implicated in a May 11 Natalbany shooting incident, according to a Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office news release. The fugitives are considered armed and dangerous, deputies said.
One of the men, Melvin G. Jackson, 31, of 181 Williams Road in Ponchatoula, also is wanted in connection with an armed robbery case, deputies said.
Jackson and Marvin D. Dokes, 28, of 910 Oak St. in Hammond, were being sought for prosecution on counts of attempted second-degree murder in the Natalbany shooting that left a Mississippi man critically wounded.
