Man arrested in six armed robberies Man arrested in six armed robberies Miguel Angel Covarrubias Advocate staff report March 05, 2012 Comments Police arrested an 18-year-old man Tuesday accused of committing more than six armed robberies in the College Drive area between mid-January and early February, a police spokesman said. Dave Brown Jr., 4581 Bawell St., was booked into Parish Prison on six counts of armed robbery and one count of simple robbery, Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said in a news release. Detectives added an additional count of armed robbery while Brown was in jail Tuesday after he had been booked with five counts of armed robbery and one count of simple robbery on Feb. 14, Stubbs said. Brown is accused of taking cell phones from people at gunpoint, Stubbs said.
