Teen accused of accidentally shooting, killing friend

Baton Rouge police arrested a 16-year-old in the accidental shooting death Sunday of a 19-year-old man, said a police spokesman.
Donta Young, 19, 5958 Cadillac St., Apt. #11009, died from a gunshot wound to the chest after a handgun he was passing back and forth with his 16-year-old friend accidentally fired, said Cpl. L’Jean McKneely in a police news release.
Young was taken to a hospital where he died, McKneely said.
The 16-year-old, who was not identified because he is a juvenile, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Detention Center and booked with a count of negligent homicide.
