Terms of the deal, which was finalized Thursday night, were not disclosed. The move gives Transformyx a 32,500-square-foot commercial data center in Baton Rouge. This allows the company to take care of organizations with security and compliance concerns, by providing access to a secure, reliable data center, it said. A data center is a facility that houses powerful computer systems and offers cloud-based business services, in which companies can access software and computer servers offsite without the need or expense for their own equipment; use the data center for storage of information; or host Web services for businesses. Claude Bethea, CEO of Transformyx, said the acquisition fits in with the company’s recent history. Bethea founded the company, formerly Rockhopper Systems, in 1987. “In 2010, Transformyx established a long-term growth strategy focused on managed and cloud services,” he said. “In 2013, we took the next step in our long-term growth by focusing our energies on expanding the managed services offering by including solutions which involve data center services.” Plans are to retain all of No-Hassle’s employees.
