Superintendents forum slated for Monday

Acadiana-area schools superintendents will discuss challenges in the 2014-15 school year during the Acadiana Press Club’s monthly forum at 11:45 a.m. Monday at The Daily Advertiser’s community room, 1100 Bertrand Drive.

Confirmed panelists are Acadia Parish Superintendent John Bourque, Iberia Parish Superintendent Dale Henderson, Jeff Davis Parish Superintendent Brian LeJeune, Lafayette Parish Superintendent Pat Cooper, St. Martin Parish Superintendent Lottie Beebe and Vermilion Parish Superintendent Jerome Puyau.

The forum is open to the public and lunch from The Bus Stop food truck will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to purchase lunch prior to the forum’s start.

Annual golf tourney benefits camp, set for Friday

Camp Bon Coeur will hold its second annual golf tournament fundraiser Friday at Les Vieux Chenes Golf Course in Youngsville.

The event benefits Camp Bon Coeur, a summer residential camp for children with congenital heart defects.
